The Carolina Theater has a long history, dating back to 1927 when it was built for Saenger-Publix and opened on Halloween of that year.

It fell into disrepair when it was given up by Saenger, but the United Arts Council of Greensboro managed to snag it and refurbish it as well as possible.

You can now watch modern movies on a large silver screen, enjoy live entertainment on stage, and bask in the opulence of its architecture.

26. The Greensboro Grasshoppers

The Greensboro Grasshoppers are the local Minor League Baseball team.

Between May and September, they play in the wonderful First National Bank Field.

A rowdy, boisterous atmosphere permeates each game, and the hot dogs sold are perfect ballgame fare.

A play park and scenic picnic area, both kid-friendly, make watching the Grasshoppers and exploring the field one of the most fun things to do in Greensboro, NC.
